WEBINAR 4: LA POLITIQUE BIOCLIMATIQUE, MATÉRIAUX LOCAUX ET INDICATEURS DE CONFORT DANS L'AFRIQUE ET UE

Pr. Lorenzo Pagliano et les intervenants invites présenteront le travail développé sur les politiques en matière d’efficacité énergétique et de bioclimatique en Europe et en Afrique.

Climate adaptation, building summer comfort and bioclimatic approach in the EU and Africa | COP27 | Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt

Prof.Lorenzo Pagliano, the coordinator of the ABC21 project, participated in the COP27 panel discussion about climate adaptation and building summer comfort. In this session, he explored some of the work developed related to comfort indicators in performance in buildings, focusing on the case of warm climates.

Bioclimatic design - Social housing case study in La Réunion | WUF11 | Katowice, Poland

A contribution made by Prof. Francois Garde from Université de La Rénion regardings bioclimatic buildings. He presents a case study of a social housing unit located on La Rénion island that employs passive ventilation and other methods to achieve thermal comfort.

A contribution made by Prof. Asmae Khaldoun from Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane about bioclimatic building materials and techniques. The focus was on geo & bio-based building materials and their potential for bioclimatic architecture in the EU and African contexts.

EU Side Events @ COP26: Decarbonising Buildings: the importance of energy efficiency and low-carbon construction materials | Online, Brussels

Online session along with VELUX and EuroACE – Energy Efficient Buildings as part of the EU Side Events of COP 26. Prof. Lorenzo Pagliano & Prof. Asmae Khaldune presented ABC21 work related to local building materials and discussed the implication of policies for decarbonising buildings and promoting energy efficiency.
